Well, yesterday I got in on some grade A action. I was able to raid a stash of computers, and get about 6 working xp OS comps. Appearantly the company was gonna throw it all away, because it was like a year old or whatever. SO this is what I got away with.

--SMITHS AWESOME LIST OF FREEBIES--
-3 Landscape Computers (Landscape Comps, are the kind that the monitor sets on top of.) All with working xp OS.
-2 Tower Computers. Working xp OS.
-1 Un-Opened Impression Vienna 17 Monitor
-Newpoint Switcher 2000 Plus (surge protector, multi power tap)
-2 Un-Opened Dell Quiet Key Keyboards
-2 sets of speakers. (1 is surround sound, other is reg. stereo speeks) 'I was after so much shit, I forgot the sub woofer for the surround speakers'
-1 mouse
-1 Un-Opened Dell PC case (3 cd slots, and lots of room)
-9ish power cords (the kind for the monitor, and tower)
-1 old police comp. (its a tray comp, its in a metal drawer, and it has clasps and wheels, after checking it out, it contained out of date police progs, and some.... records.
-OMG tons of RAM. I threw some in the old police comp, and had 320megs. and I still have 4 sticks with unknown ram ammounts.
-5 CD-RW drives
-4 Hard Drives (ranging from 3.5gig to 50gig)
-OMG CARDS! about 3 cable modems, 2 sound cards, 2 grafix cards, a 2port USB card, and one Dial-Up modem.
-Tons of connectors, wires, fans, anything salvageable.

NOW TO THE POINT!

Because I already had an existing monitor, for my room comp, I used the second one, with my g-force and made dual monitors. ITs sweet, I can run Diagnos. on the main monitor, and play DFBHD on the second, and watch the preformance, and heat of the CPU on the main monitor.

(all three of my monitors, soon there will be four, once I find a connector to hook my 42" tv into.)

My jewish side totally came out.

-SMITH: Throwing what away?
-INFORMANT: Computers, and computer stuff.
-SMITH: ...
-SMITH: Where?
-INFORMANT: Its at ******************* ******
-SMITH: You are joking...
-SMITH: How much can I take?
-INFORMANT: As much as you can carry in a car load, or two, or three.
-SMITH has left the room.
-INFORMANT has left the room.

^ I just illustrated what happened over the fone, in a form of IRC chatlog.

I AM SOOOO HAPPY THAT I NOW FINALLY HAVE A GOOD COMP! THANK YOU GREAT 1337 COMPUTER GEEK GODS OF THE MEGABIT! Image file not present in the recovered backup

what are you asking?

are you asking

a- what do you (smith.0) need dual monitors for?

b- what do you need to use (make) dual monitors?

Well, I will answer both.

a- I use it to have 2 desktops, and to use one screen for diagnostics, of whaterveer im running on the second screen

b- To make a dual-monitor setup, you need 2 graphics cards, or a monitor port and a graphics card. Just remember, you need to have 2 monitor ports, whether it be built in, or just in a graphics card. Then Download drivers for the card, to make sure its most up to date. Then you should be able to go the the properties menue. *right click on the desktop backgroud* then to settings, and then be able to customize the dual monitors from there.
