I got so hyped with first three shots of RHCP one... great imagery. But other stuff kind of let me down. You know efects dont make cool video? Ask anybody, ask Sam Evans. And Footage didnt really go with the songs in my opinion, but have to give you props doing that alone in your little mountain town

Anyway I see potential... just waiting the break through.
EDIT: actually I wanted to point out that those were full of.... cliches, but then so am I... and cliches are kind of cool, anyways...

Yeah, I liked the intro of the Scar Tissue one, sems like he used some unneccesary effects too.. But I liked both, definately chose good songs...

I watched close yet far and couldn't help but think 'Is this all you require to get into 'film school' ?" Just thought it was amateur for someone who films all day as an education.

didnt like either. ut second one was slightly better than first.
Editing was pretty shit. but on plus side there was the odd artistic shot here and there.
25 October 2005, 12:59 UTC#7
I liked the first 15 secs of the first clip.
The video to close yet far was imo very bad, sorry but it didnt fit the song really.. maybe its hard to explain for me because the song reminds me of a kind of sad but nice period so thats how I expect the clip to be. Some of your images in there were too fast or too random. I just need to see something that fits the song, maybe something with a story.

I liked the first clip better than the second..

umm what editing skills?
hated both
25 October 2005, 16:51 UTC#11
I only watched the second one. I didn't like it.
It was just random objects being filmed...a wind chime...a clock...a bike wheel...fungi?!
Wtf man.
Too cheesy for my liking. You seem to have tried [b]too[b/] hard to make an abstract video.

this is grade 11 "flim studies" in a small mountain town in northern canada.

c´mon people, those werent that bad. there was some nice shots there, allthough overall they were poor, few nice shots is more than most of here can do.
And I bet he did it all by himself, and tahts thing to respect too.
Just lay off the effects and try to get footage match better the song feel.
whats 11grade anyway? How old are you there? And that little mountain town looks nice. if I would like to relax I would go someplace similar... I bet it gets boring there

ANd have to point out how many things in popular stuff are similar, overeffected crappy coctail of nothing. Just watched x-files, damn that intro is poor.
25 October 2005, 21:52 UTC#14
x-files intro rules
its all crappy quality footage from old cameras or cctv tapes
only part I dont like is where they walk into a room with a low frame rate when they have guns in there hands
25 October 2005, 21:54 UTC#15
They...were boring.
some cool shots in there, but for the most part, not interesting enough to watch all the way thru, unless you dig the songs. which I don't.

The song might, but please, opening eye, fast forward sky... how corny you can get?
And that low framerate part... damn the same non neccesary efect use like in these.
And check it out, its boner, the king of efect users
