Well a friend of mine kind hearted he was let me have his webcam, but he had lost the software for it though and well. I don't know what to do about it, could someone help out please Image file not present in the recovered backup

Probably a product reference or tracking number, after installing the drivers reboot and it should work fine.

I always thought there were universal drivers for cams, that would work with almost every cam? You don't need the original drivers do you?

Yes, each camera has a different chip, therefore generic drivers are somewhat useless.
