using front page to make a site

can anybody give me the slightest help with using front page? im starting from scratch and just the slightest push in the right direction would help

get dreamweaver.

ok so I got it pretty much down.. but how do I make links and such?

in dreamweaver if thats what your doing

select the text

look at bottom of screen for link feild and type what you want

in frontpage

I don't use frontpage, and never will as it is wholly uncompliant. I do tend to use dreamweaver, notepad and photoshop a whole load when making sites, as they are really usefull tools. But with these tools you need some understanding of HTML.

Maybe if you gave us some specifics of what you don't understand and wish to accomplish we could help, rather than just asking how to make a site as there are many methods of doing so, not all will suit you.

frontpage works just like microsoft word, its quite simple to use. everything you need to know is in the tab bars

[advice]Not tryign to fuck with your head or anything but I use to use Frontpage back in the day, and it adds so much un-needed code to page. I got Dreamweaver and I took off with that. Alot better. You may not want to have to wait and download it. But once your settled with it you will be glad with your choice.[/advice]

But if you are not going to try it then I would Google some tutorials for FP.

I used FP for a few days and made a decent site with it, I tried DW but it was alot harder for me, then again I hardly ever used any of them.

dreamweaver is a lkittle more complex, but it has the ability to do soo much more. I cnat really describe hwo the 2 are different, but once you get how to use DW, your golden

PS: Go with dreamweaver, its worth the wait.

I used to use frontpage but somthing always seemed to fuck up. So I tried dreamweaver and spent a couple of days just getting used to it and presto.

In other words delete frontpage and any other un needed software. Then go on the macromedia (search on google) download the trial and get a crack of the net then just put the crack in and you got the whole programme. Same with any other macromedia application.
