please help me decide wich camera is better

Sony DCR-HC15E
or
Sony DCR-TRV270E

they both look pretty sweet and dont coast alot...help would be appreciated...thanks...

I have a DCR-Trv22e, looks just like that one^^^

It's great, good picture quality, nice size, lightweight, compatiable with alot of stuff and the sound quality is brilliant, so I'm sure the newer model will be even better,

Although I dont no how good the other one is.

Good,
You can see the focus of a human image from a few metres away clearly.....If you know what I mean Image file not present in the recovered backup

And theres two settings, normal nightvision (Which is described above^) and Super night shot....Which well obviosuly is super, I'd say you'd keep the focus of a human about 6 or 7m away, but I'm just guessing.

The super nightshot affects the frame rate slightly, it doesn't go wavy but it looks as though your flickering through frames, if you know what I mean.
Obviously both settings take away battery, not by to much though.

Speaking of batteries, make sure if you buy it, it doesn't come with a standard "90min" battery, either buy it with a longer one or get it seperate....you'll need it.

cause I really need one with a good nightvision cause im mainly buying this cam to film in the dark...

Ok I'll film something now with both night vision settings, I should have them up on yousend it in about 30mins, If that's ok. but It will be fair crappy quality.

Also I know sony cam's are the best for nightvision, and that's a newer model so thr nightvision should be even better with that new one.

I recorded both nightshot settings for you

As you can see it works better on white surfaces.
That's as dark as I could get my room, apart from the monitor screen, but you'll probally be filming with street lights, so you know.

Even though my wallpaper is completely black.....the super nightshot picks out colours of things which you can just about tell what colour they are.

And also if you keep it steady enough the quality goes good with super nightshot.

Although I think the nightshot is good for filming anything moveing, especially with a few street lights, you'll keep the quality.

I reccommend you dont watch in full screen, It's still quite a big file for the actual quality, but I need to go so I couldnt make it good quality, anyway need anything else just ask.

isnt TRV-270 di8 and the other one mini-dv.
I think TRV-270 will have better screen quality but the technoligy of the HC15 will definitely be better

Yeah I agree actually,

The one I have has got good video quality, but there are cam's with better quality.

But don't get me wrong the quality on my camcorder is fine, it's great.

the HC modles are realy good, I've had one for a year nealy and it has'nt let me down at all
