Ok, John and I are trying to replace his head gasket but we are not sure on the process of donig so. Does anyone know what we have to do, or know of a site that tells us the repairs steps? We have looked online and cannot find a place with step by step instructions.

soo this is your guys plan to fix the car "very soon" boy you guys never stop amazing me.

I'm not familiar with the specific engine, but you'll need to remove all ancilliaries connected to the head. Then possibly remove the rocker cover, which should reveal the head studs. Then its just a matter of yanking off the head, putting a new gasket on and replacing everything as it was removed.
Not a hard job, all in all.

This is Mike's plan, me, I don't have one!
So bite me Kellye. my actual 'plan' is to have brad h. or ross fix the bitch. That way it's ready for the CS visit.

all I gotta say is good luck lol, your best chance is getting a mechanic to fix it then u guys make it even worst
12 October 2005, 01:40 UTC#8
No offense John-o but you've had that plan for about 2 months now, and they haven't been able to help you out yet. Maybe you guys can be shown how to do it yourselves and we can all get together and spend some quality "man time" workin' on a car, drinkin' some beer, smokin some cigarettes and stopping every 10 minutes to admire a hot blonde walking down the street. Then we can order chicken wings and pizza so we can watch the big game and discuss how many chicks we fucked in the past week!
Or you could just have Ross do it.

You know you like it

on the accord I think u do have to take the rocker cover off to change the head. and watch you dont overtighten the nuts when you put it back on, you can crack it again if you do. and change any gaskets thatr are blowing, because over a long period of time without repair, they might cause the head to go again.
