Yeah man it'd be neat, and have someone try and stand on the snow man, but yeah no offence but I can get the same quality if not better caps with digital 8 footage.
New: new cam is a neccesity.
or maybe instead of a snowman, u could use milk crates or something.

the HV30 is not really good with low light. the focus thing, I plan on trying to figure that out soon. might be able to find something in there about the focus too.
about the 4:3; I filmed it in 16:9, but whenever I cap it in premiere it adjusts it to 4:3 and I really didnt feel like going through and changing the dimensions in photoshop.

Word most hdv cams aren't very good in low light. Well I dunno how that works I just cap it in FCP and de-interlace is in PS and it looks sexy a majorit yof the time.

EDIT: monday the high was 85 degrees. tuesday it topped at 81 degrees. wednesday morning it was 34 degrees, and the warmest it got was 40. today it sleeted, rained, snowed until about 2, when it warmed up to about 35. and its supposed to be in the 60 - 70 degree range this weekend.
