Can someone fill me in on what's going on?

This is what I know. Chris was getting a new server, but Chris is on vacation. So I was told that Gazaa was going to set it up and take care of it...but apparently he didnt and now the subscription to the current server has expired.

So I cant access my site, my cpanel, or my FTP. So does this mean all my shit has been deleted off their server or what? Image file not present in the recovered backup

Apparently if Gman didn't do this and didn't back up, then we're fucked, gotta start from scratch. I think it'll be up in a few days.. Talk to karl.

I know the feeling trust me. lost the retardz site. but starting from scratch again soon...with a layout that isnt as dark as wesley snipes and everyone can see it cleanly....thanks to the ps god mr mono :-)

k when I know whats going on and whose fault it is...then I will starting letting this out. No one told me what day this shit was gonna happen or that someone might fuck it up. nope. it looked like rust with mad thrown at it with the menus as skraches...had alot of complants people could read it unless turned there screens brighter...plus it was coded badly. so im starting fresh and its going to be awesome. trust me :-)

It was coming along good until my this brand new computer I got started fucking up. Random video files became corrupted and other files started getting fuzzy and shit....ill post an example later.

This kind of shit is the stuff that pisses me off so much I just wanna quit.

Nah I never record over my tapes...but dude...I have over 150 tapes to go through. That takes days man. Not to mention I need to get a new comp because this 1 is to risky...it could easily fuck more of my files up.

Im not sweating it though...right now Im just taking a break...waiting to get a new camera. Im gonna back to the streets to try to get some more core footage...cause were coming up short and weak. I refuse to put this video out unless I feel it totally lives up to its name.

hey guys just got on the internet then for the first time in a few days. gazza was supposed to move the server over to the new one. he said he was doing it and to the best of my knowlege he did. To be honest I have no idea whats going on and if we did loose everything I will pay to get it back because out of everyone I lost the most (5 or 6 gb of videos) but im sure everything will be fine.

Usually if the company is good they will take backups of the server before they shut it down. With all look the provider will have taken a backup just incase.

That must have been a misconception, I havent been fired, the only thing we have changed is the structure of it. hmm.

We canceled the old server the end of Sep,
It was planned on going out on the 6th

We contacted gman and he was planning on setting it up and I let him know when the old server was going down,

For some reason, he has not been on for a few days and therefore it did not get setup and transfered etc etc. im not sure whats up, hope its nothin, just hasnt been on for 2+ days. hmm, but then of course he hasnt the internet at his house,

nah no skits. But it wont be non-stop mix ups either. Actually...the whole thing is just like one huge mix up in itself...it'll be totally random with some cool break down scene. Hard to explain, but I should have an example soon enough.

Man that fucking sucks, I hate it when shit like that happens. All it takes is a few files to go missing and it gets you running around like a paedophile in a playground looking for them. It truly sucks. Best of luck getting them back, I couldn't imagine how enfuriated I would be if something like this happened to me. <3.

Hi guys,

apparently the old server has been taken down with all data and backups on it, and none have been saved. Unfortunately my father is very ill from a brain tumour, so I have not been able to access the internet for a couple of days as he takes higher priority than your websites.

Unfortunately, I left the transfer running on my work PC, expecting to come back and all the files been transferred. This was not the case as the DNS zones and entries don't exist on the new server, therefore because this is the latest cPanel build on the server all attempts at moving your data failed while I was not at my PC to build the DNS zones and re-transfer.

I shall call Chris and we shall try contact the previous datacentre to see if the hardrive that was in use still has this critical data on it. I sincerely apologise for anyone who's lost their site, I really have not been able to access my work PC to see how the transfer went.

That really sucks about your dad, hope he pulls through.. I don't really care about my site that much, just do what you gotta do I guess...

Any news on if it can be saved from the old server?

So do I man, the tumour is inoperable and 99% sure it's cancerous, so hope is pretty low atm.



I contacted the providor requesting help, and asking if they had the data on the HDD still. My fingers are crossed.

hey guys just got back, I know what your going through man my dad had cancer earlier this year and your right family takes priority over all other shit. In regards to the websites I also contacted layertech yesterday and asked them not to reformat anything.

As far as I can gather, there are 4 websites in the /home/ directory I can immediately restore.

Sucks about your dad man, that takes priority over websites anyday.
