Windows Movie Maker.. when you save movie, you have the options before saving to convert it to AVI.

mm2. or send back to camera as WMV then recapture as AVI

I have done that before but I looks like someone pisses on the footage and dried it out
but thanks for the info
im probably gonna do the import into wmm and then save it as an avi file

dude, AVS Converter look for it on download.com
