Fisheye Lens/Tapes

I've found a few fisheye lens's I like on ebay,
my camera lens thread size is 30mm, so as long as the thread size for the lens im buying is 30mm, I can't go wrong, it will fit on my camera, am I right?
The ones I've been looking at are converters I think, thin screw on lens's.

Secondly, about tapes,
When you use tapes over and over, I mean like rubbing the footage over with new footage each time, does it effect the quality of the video in time? if so after about how many tape over's will it take?
As I might need to get some new tapes.

dude I know for a fact if you tape over a tape alot it screws it up...we've had that happen to us. I think after about 4 or 5 re-recordings you should change your tape

Anyone know about the lens size, will any 30mm lens be compatiable with my camera?

we use clip on lenses... those are compatible with most minidvcameras...

clip on have ranges.. so if your cam says its 30mm and you buy a snap on lens with a range of 27mm - 32mm it'll be fine. If you buy a lens for 36mm cams you can always buy macro rings to make the end bigger or smaller so it'll fit. But yeah, a 30mm will definitely do for your cam.

You can get mini-dv tapes for $4 each at costco, and probally just as good of a deal on eBay. Dont tape over tapes. If you can buy a combo meal at McDonalds..I think you can afford a new tape.
