well today I attempted to make my first website layout design in photshop and this was the result. tell me what you think so I know if I should use it or not.

Yeah, that's really good for a first attempt, but I think you should tone down the top part, it sort conflicts with the rest, and the colours sorta look out of place, maybe that's just me.. Anyway props2u

work on the lighting on the fucked up chick....there is shadows in all directions and whatnot....that is pretty sweet for your first attempt.....id use it....

well thanks for the feed back guys. thanks rob on the tip about the lighting, I'll try and fix it up. anything else I should do let me know, or if you want me to make you a template I can do that also.

Change the font and lower the opacity of the scanlines. Oh, and make sure the text layer is above the scanlines, looks kinda wierd.
Maybe make sure the scanlines don't go over the grey and red bars either.
Apart from that, sweet job. Image file not present in the recovered backup

Apart from the background image.. as cool as that image is.. it has nothing to dowith HG... so I think you need to pick a diffrent background

ok, so it's not the color, it's just the font type? and the picture I threw up there for the banner/header was just a random picture it's not going to be the final picture if I decide to use the template or not. anything else I should take into consideration about my design?
