heres what I would do:
I would get some media attention and dontate like 10000 of it to the huracaine thing then go buy some sweet video cameras and a new computer.. then put the left overs in a bank

film an independent zombie movie

film all our types of videos

make money back from them

I would talk to weak about which porno company's I should buy stocks in, purchase a shit load of that

then I would put the rest away in an account as to gain interest untill I was out of college so I could start up my own media company

I would use a little of the money right now to buy a couple of cameras a new comp and some choice software

I'd get a really good camera, start a group and probly buy a lamborghini

It'd shove most of it in the bank and live off the interest.

I'd buy Valve, and spend the rest on beer.

A million isnt even that much anymore. I would probably just buy fancy jewelery, a decent car and go on a trip. Then I would save the rest for something I might need later on.

Id use it as a down payment for a home. Unless you have a joint income that nets around 120k a year...you wont get approved for any home loans. So youll need to do a no-questions-asked loan by providing 1/4 upfront. The average home in SoCal is a bit more than $400,000....but its a start. So thats what I would do. I would totally push to buy a penthouse in downtown LA..

aside from that..if I was to ditch the whole house thing...Id buy:

1.) Minutaure school bus (bangabum)
2.) Vx2100, plus other cams
3.) restored 80's muscle car , $25,000 range
4.) pay off gf's credit card debt, 5,000
5.) put $15,000 into day trading
6.) buy bum breast implants and vaginal rejuevenaton (bangabum)

I would invest in trading euro to dollar and dollar to euro, and the rest, buy nice house, deck out with home media system stuff, nice cam, escalade with electronics and pimped out, buy a state of the art computer, and stuff,... then I would put the rest in a bank account immediately, and earn interest

I would start my own production company....buy an apartment and such...then invest and such....then the rest in the banc....
