I hate to tell you this Johheh but ill be buying that camera. Gona ring them or email tomorrow.

Im going to media college to take courses and I need a good cam anyway. So that one looks a damn lot better than the Canon XL2.

hate to burst your bubble, but unless you have an HD television set, the footage it films looks no better than a vx2100.

I also read that HDDV takes up 30mb's per second. Which is fuckin ridiculous.

That is a good cam, but the Z1U has a lot more professional features.

I wouldnt buy that, it's their first attempt at a high def pro-sumer cam, it's bound to have bugs, unless you have a high def tv and editing system its pretty much pointless, I'd way rather have the XL2 for the cash

yeah I don't see the point of buying a crazy-ass camera when you don't know what to do with it...
it's like buying a ferrari when you are on your learners...

I want that camera aswell but its useless without a really good editing system or at least a Dual G5 Mac with Final Cut Pro and that alone will cost more than the camera itself. But high Def is the future and Harddrives are getting cheap so do what you want but a good camera doesnt mean good movies. But probably the best thing about this camera is that it can shoot in native 16:9 that would be a major selling point for me.

You wont need it for HG I havent ever seen a skit from u so I doubt your any good at them, so no short movies...sorry I really dnt see why u would buy this cam. You may be told how to use it but use it on wht? A bush jump...yep we really need top of the range shit for tht.
