Ok I'm a total noob when it comes to cameras and things I know nothing. Basically I need something that is good enough to film action stuff and the quality to be good enough to go on a dvd... cheapest is a good option but a long batery life would be handy...

370 american will buy a good hi8.. maybe a not so good minidv.. depends on where you get it.. check out some places that have payent plans... I know some places around here have them... you can space it out over like 12 months and pay so much per month
