Well I finally decided to make my own piece of work in PS and as I started making it I noticed how my style was very similar to that of Adems. So.... since he was an obviouse inspiration I decided to make a tribute piece to Adem as well as show off my skills

Hah, my thoughts exactly, in complete honesty

hmm, honestly, it looks pretty sketchy..
when you cut a picture from somewhere else, that takes about 5 minutes, but the real time is spent on shadows and lighting, that's where I take forever, and the time spent is worth it in the end.
I also see whitelines you can remove, and more blending you could have spent time on.
other than that, it's good.

what I do is zoom all the way to about 500%, pick the number 3 brush, click the airbrush button, and trace along the edge.
but if I'm in a hurry, yeah I'll use extract, but the trick is, use the history brush afterwards, repaint in the parts that are fucked up, and then rerase along the edges to get it perfect.

And if you guys new anyhting about photoshop you would know that it wasnt copy and pasting I had to duplicate layers over lap and stamp brush resize layers and quick mask and such so yeah. but I think its pretty damn good for my first big work. and I love how I put a flower in it and everyone says why the fuck is their a flower but adem puts it in and its fuckin THE GREATST THING EVER. it's alright I guess?
why did you choose to make a pic like this? Like, I dont even get it
07 September 2005, 01:43 UTC#22
because I was feeling like I wanted to do something to show what little skills that I have in photoshop

and I started doing this piece and I realized that my style is alot like that of adem. So since he was an obvious inspiration I decided to dedicate the peice to him.
07 September 2005, 05:22 UTC#23
To tomm - the pen tool is awsome, I love that lil thang.
To Steve: I think your peice is kinda lame, except, remove the kinda.
07 September 2005, 05:27 UTC#24
pretty cool would have kicked ass without the flower but it's your art not mine
07 September 2005, 05:29 UTC#25

07 September 2005, 21:26 UTC#29
