everyone keeps saying "it was a joke, it was a joke"... well it's no joking matter. And I can't beleive that BI doesn't even find or understand why this is offensive at all.
I know that no matter how much time has passed, or the how the situation occurred, no one deserves what happened with Webby. I also fully acknowledge that he may be mentally and physically coping with this for years to come.
I found my ex dead on the stairs outside of our apartment from a drug overdose this April. I tried to find laughter in it somehow. Yes, he did it to himself, but he didn't deserve to die. I know of course this isn't the same situation at all, but to cope with the shock of finding him and the fact that he is really gone, I've found humor in certain things, and now I will said to myself, "that dumbass..." But he is in a better place.
We meant no disrespect, and it was loosely based on the fact that, point blank, accidents happen, and certain activities are extremely dangerous and rediculous. It wasn't a "Hate on Webby" skit at all. It was a "Everyone gets a god damn show on Mtv" skit.
Im glad you guys dug it, and I also know where those who disagree with it are coming from, but why should anyone walk on eggshells? We should all have fun, because it was all in good fun, and I must reiterate the fact that it is better to laugh than to mourn, and it is better to die than to suffer for years on end with a terminal disease.
We understand, but as far as taking it down, I seriously doubt that will happen.
