Ok, so the deal is that there is a local skate shop near me, and they sponser about 10 skaters. They are quite good. Anyway, I'm filming and editing a skate vid for them and need some tips and good ideas for what to do. If you give editing tips, I use Sony Vegas 5.

Thanks...

P.S. We do have a name just incase you ask. The shop/team is called Badcash and the video is called Flip To Death

I dunno how to explain it but make "eye flow" like. when a skater does a trick and goes to the from the right to the left of the screen, and have the next skater start on the left of the screen..ect. so my eyes dont have to look back and forth.
and try out filmstripping. dont try nething extavagant keep it simple cuz filmstripping is a bitch.

that hurts down deep nappy( if that was makin fun of my video....)....dont use gay transitions....try to make it go with the music as much as possible....and mix everything up....like have a flip trick then a gap then a rail then vert.....

How experianced are u with editing? the way u r talking u have no idea wht your ganan do....so my advice would be to travel back in time and not agree to edit a video for them.

lawl.....I would just practice a while before I worked on the video...it could turn out horribly catastrophic if you dont know what you are doing

Defiantly. I mean, u cant just take people ides from here and expect to use them well.

Your ganna have to know wht u want to do and do it well.

If u r still going to do it, I'd say pick music very carefully, tht will make hte video work or cause it too be utter shite, pick a song tht maybe u dont always listen too and tht will make it more fun to edit too and also pick a song tht has a defined beat or tempo so u can change shots and angles and time up tricks landing or starting to the beat of the song. (if u get wht I mean)

I would pick something not to upbeat due to the fact that will cause the clip to go fast and short....pick something medium melo'ish....I have always wanted to edit to 311 or something like that.....feels so good by 311 has a good beat to be able to edit too....listen to the song and go from there....

I think skating music goes better with eather hip hop, rap, or maybe techno....or old metal....maybe I can dive into my techno remix collection and give you some metallica techno remix's Image file not present in the recovered backup

not bad.....I wouldnt use it but if that is what you wanna use and what the team wants then go for it...I hate to say it but it seems like more and more that hiphop is being used and working good for skate clips...and how big is this clip going to be that you have to have seperate music for the intro....

I'm not sure what you mean

I have a track listing that the owner give to me :

metallica - enter sandman - for the intro
bill nelson - banal
eminem - under the influence
david bowie - under pressure
axel f theme (NOT CRAZY FROG!)
red hot chili peppers - scar tissue
lil john - lets go
the prodigy - jericho
cky - testing
led zeppelin - stairway to heaven - for the credits

the owner has a wide variety of music there that none of them will go together.....you need to ditch the list and use what feels good with the skating.....

I think a wide variety of songs if used well, would work.
