ahh thats the g man, gettin into shape there man, congratz, I recently bought some fat burner and I hope to lose a few points and tone.

my original idea was put on weight then build, for hockey, but that wasnt smart, so im prob going to hopefully jump down to 140 again tone up, then work on mass, or stay small and toned, I dunno

Cheers man

Your best bet to lose weight is to do some HIIT cardio, 20 minutes 3 times a week and cuitting down on the carbs will help arseloads.

After you've got rid of unwanted BF, you can build mass by getting plenty of protein. A good whey protein shake is good after a workout, and casein (slow digesting protein such as cottage cheese in between lunch and dinner is a good idea) thereafter just mix whey protein and milk into a shake before you go to bed.

With the right routine you can pack a fair amount of mass in a small time, especially if you are new to bodybuilding. Newbies pack on muscle really fast when they first start

Pretty good thanks :)

Strength has increased in hands, so can grip bar much easier now. Deadlifting around 100KG, could do more but I'm opting for slightly higher rep. Also added 5 kilos to my EZ bar curl yesterday also. On 40KG now

G.... You might already know this, but alot of people dont, If you using anything more than skimmed milk when you mix your whey protein shakes then it wont work nearly as well. THe best thing to use is water (but obviously it taste crap with water).

Dont ask me why, cos I dont know, but my mums personal trainer, who is going out with a beefcake, told me, rambled on about the molecular structure of the protein with milk or something.

Skimmed milk is good because it slows the digestion of the protein, whey protein with water is digested within 45 minutes. This is good post workout, but when sleeping you want it to be digested slowly ( 3 - 4 hours), so skimmed milk, whey and some good fats works wonders

Of course, it is better to purchase a protein that is naturally slower digesting in the first place to consume for meal replacements and pre-bed shakes, but this will put a strain on ones wallet eventually.
