Okay, I've been using Premiere for about 2.5 years and have had no problems. But I was debating whether I should switch to Vegas. What do you fellow editors think?
I also know this is a preference question, but I want your opinions.

I love vegas but I dont know premiere real good. Are you good with premiere? any footage I can see that you edited?

it's becuase im really bored and im not sure what I feel like doing. Besides, I like to talk about EVERYTHING!

Why switch if you having been using it for that long? After using it it for that amount of time you must have some skill with it, converting now would be stupid.

I like vegas alot....I would say its better for some things and not for others.....I would say use both....

I have both but I'd rather learn premiere a little better.maybe get after effects if you havent done so already and your set.

I hear Premiere is very professional. I have it but cant use it for shit. But I should think Premiere will get you further in life.

I use Premier. I tried Vegas but couldn't figure it out. So many buttons and shit.

yeah I havent even tried using vegas yet.its just sitting there looking good.I hate learning a new editing program.And if you ended up with all of premieres products you would be very well off with that.Keep premiere.

I use premiere pro. I love it.
I've tried using vegas but it pissed me off so I say stay with premiere.

if your good at premeire, don't go to vegas. It has a few redicules limits.
If you want something faster and a bit easier but still powerful though, you could try vegas.

I currently don't have footage online for public view. I'm currently editing a short that I'll post when I'm finished. Just got to finish cutting, a little frame-by-frame work, and musical score.

Stick with what you know. You can only get better at what you do.
Effects and filters can only take you so far before you need to be able to just "feel" the editing, and once you can edit fluidly like that you can do it with any tool.
As far as power goes, Vegas is the lesser tool of the two. It's not a weakness, though -- it's designed to be a lesser tool. It's not meant for the kinds of tasks Premiere Pro is suited for.

Stick with Premiere, you must of mastered it over the years, Premiere and Vegas are nearly equal programmes, so it wouldnt make a difference if you switch, would just waste time to learn Vegas

I agree, its always better to stick with what you know and adobe is the best in my opnion.
