alright, I need a firewire to upload my footage into my computer. I finally went to wal-mart today to get one, I took my camera to wal-mart to make sure I get the right size, so I ask the dude in the electronics and showed him my camera and he looked at the camera for like 10 mins and he said that ''I dont think your camera has a usb port''
my camera is a sony. And it's brand new, does this mean my camera doesn't have a firewire thing and I have to like buy a new one to get my footage on my computer? Image file not present in the recovered backup

ok, I dont know that much about cameras and everything but it's a sony and this is the stuff it has on the side ''video camera recorder ccd-trv328 ntsc hi 8 I dont know if that helped but thats all I know

no you dont need a different cam.. I got mine for free so I don't know how much they cost try google...

wow your good my camera looks exactly like that, and how do I hook my vcr up to my computer and how do I get my footage on a vhs tape? and what is capture?

o jezz
you hook you vcr up to the computer with the analog capture card(wich u need to get)
you get your footage on vhs by eather hooking up your camera to your vcr and recording it onto vhs
or
you can use
Image file not present in the recovered backup
wich is a vhs adapter and I think they make them for hi8 and you just pop your hi8 tape into it and it gose right into the vcr
capture is how you record your footage to the computer... and you can use different programs to do that

costs around £60 and comes with pinnacle studios quickstart.. just plug the usb into your pc. and analog wire into the sockets
