In about 2 weeks I'm getting a new cam. I want a high quality cam and the models I have in mind are:
Sony VX1000
Sony HC1000
Which would you recommend? And if not those any others you could recommend would be much appreciated.
I know nothing about cameras but the main features I want is it to be a 3CCD cam and perform well at night-time.

I'd go for the vx2100 or 2000, but not 1000. The handle on the top almost makes it all worth it...

Yeah it is, but 1000 doesn't even have an lcd screen.
If I was getting a 3ccd camera, I'd get either...
Cannon GL2Sony vx2000 ('cause it's cheaper than 2100)or...
Sony trv 900 ('cause weak reccomended it)Maybe not those auctions, but there's an example.

VX series cams are the best, the vx1000 doesn't have an lcd screen, which is a bitch. If you can, get a 2000.

lol ok well id ef wouldnt get a cannon they are second to sony but I looked at them and I would get the vx2000 because the LCD is very useful
