installing a forum mod and in the admin cp I get the error message

Is that for the MP3 thing?

The first error means that on line 164 of the php script /home/aroundth/public_html/sources/Admin/ad_mp3.php there is a statement chdir(*something*) which makes php change its working directory. Unfortunately the directory *something* (whatever the real path is - not actually *something*) does not exist on the server.

You need to find out what directory it is trying to change to and then make sure it's there and that the permissions are set correctly. It may be a configuration setting but without knowing anything about the script it's difficult to say.

The second error is caused by the same thing but on line 220 this time.

The rest of the errors are probably there because the chdir failed so php can't find the files it's looking for. Fix the directory problem and these should go too.

Hope that helps. If the mod be downloaded somewhere I could take a look at the source.

Sorry, not on MSN and I'd rather not have the responsibility of having your logons. I think I've traced the problem to a setting for the default MP3 directory.

Check that you've done this bit if the installation correctly...

If this is the first time you ran the script, a default value is provided.  As long as you named your mp3 folder exactly mp3 and it is on exactly the same level as your forum's index, you should not have to change the setting.  If you put your mp3s somewhere else, then adjust the setting to have the correct path.


My guess is that your mp3 directory isn't there, isn't writeable or is called something different from the admin setting.

Have you tried reuploading "ad_mp3.php" and CHmodding it to "777" ?

If so, try checking the configuration file for any errors. Make sure its all set to /home/aroundth/public_html/ etc

the mod I was using was shit ... even gazaa couldnt work it out so I just got another mod and it works fine now biggrin.gif
