my mums boyfriend has a Digital 8 camera, and he filmed some shit at a skate park opening. I want to edit the footage once I get a new hard drive,
well just wondering if any of you use Digital 8 at all? and does it work just like mini dv, plug firewire in and capture? or would I need some new hardwear?
let me know
thanks

youd have to do it with fire wire or usb.
or if the camera sucks like mine did you need new hardware. I dunno what its called but their ports for a/v wire.
or the tv cable ports and hook the camera up to a vcr going to your comp

when our digital 8 was working, it was used just like our miniDV, I actually liked the lighting in shots better when they were filmed with the digital 8.

Word! Dig8 rules, bitch. Vodes choice over minidv anyday. I use trv245 and trv19, if I take only one cam with me its, trv 245.
