I say the new one, mainly because johnny depp is immortal. and I enjoyed watching this one more than the older one, and whoever said he was a dick to the kids, that totally made the movie, they were all spoiled anyway, except charlie.

I voted the old 1, I grew up with that one, and it roxorz the big one! and besides, jonny depp, in friggen "willy wonka"??? thats messed up. He is supposed to be some action star of sime kind? eh? I still like the old one.

Ive always hated those movies..Im not a big fan of singalongs...1 second they can be talking..and then they will throw you off gaurd with.."IVE GOT THE GOLDEN TICKET!!" Yeah it is a very good film... the only thing that really bothered me was...

I watched it the otherday.... I thought the acting was better... and some parts were more funny.... Depp just reminded me of M jackson for some reason.
I thought the songs sucked so bad! I could not even fully understand them... there was just nothing good about it.
The story was... kinda better in a way But never had any of the magic of the old one.
I thought the freaky boat ride was good in the old one.. but was nothing in this one.
I pickedt he first one but that might just be because I am a old cunt and I grew up with that one...
on the whole... Depp was great as always! The kids were ok... the SONGS SUCKED!
On a side note... on the way out of the cinima this gilr who must have been about 20 asked her boyfried "Who played Johny Depp in the movie" That made my day.
