my review of 101 Reasons Not TO Be A Pro Wrestler

first off, thanks to Moody for sending the dvd for free

okay this dvd has alot of good and bad things and as usual I'll start off with the bad

okay I couldn't hear alot of the questions asked by the interviewer, if it was me I would have rerecorded my questions and overlapped it over the original footage, not that hard

the production quality was really bad, but I can understand that odds are you had to meet these wrestlers on there own terms, and honestly it was cool to see the interviews done in parking lots, houses, and bars it looked more real and they seemed more relaxed than other interviews I see, but for DDP you had him in a really dark ally or somthing that was kinda unexcusable but like I said odds are you had to meet them on there own terms and that is understandable

transitions and over all editing sucked, sorry but there wasn't any real editing

now for the good and there is alot of it

a good long and real perspective on pro wrestling that I really enjoyed being a big wrestling fan, I liked the angle you went after and you got some kick ass dudes, I would be interested though to know how many wrestlers turned the interviews down and how you got all the interviews

a funny ass dvd that made me laugh out loud, but other times really made me look at wrestling in another angle and relize how cut throught the buisness is, I really dug that

jam packed dvd as well, the "movie" part is long as it is and then there is an ass load of bonus features that rocked, I like having alot of extras to check out when I have nothing to do and this has alot of them so I really dug that

answered alot of questions I wanted to see answered, it was really tell all and I was really appreciative of that, you really seemed to have gained alot of there confidence cause they really seemed to open up to you guys

I loved the byw2 commercial shoot showed the balls new jack has, I really have a new found respect for both vampiro and new jack after watching that (and on another note did you try to interview violent j or shaggy? cause that would have been cool to see, sorry I'm a juggalo)

im gonna be honest this is a dvd for die-hard wrestling fans only, it's a long ass doc that isn't just for turning on and chilling with you friends so if your looking for that your gonna be dissapointed

honestly this dvd impressed me and I really want to see more from Hollymood, also I just relized it was Hollymood I though for the longest time it was hollywood

but for all the wrestling fans out there get this dvd it is awsome

Thanks for the review. I'm glad you liked the DVD. The DDP footage is getting fixed by a post production studio next week. The lighting sucked and I think I accidentally had a filter on the camera during his interview. The camera might have seemed unsteady at times but that was because I was literally shooting hand held for about 4-8 hours straight each day and anybody who works camera for long periods of time knows that it can get rough.

Funny story actually, today one of the wrestlers from 101 Reasons not to be a Pro Wrestler attacked me. Babi Slymm talked mad shit to me and then punched me. I almost dropped the camera but I saved it and I ran from him. The guy is huge. I'll have the footage of this clip online soon. But yeah, I was legit attacked.

I was gonna do a review, but got caught up in some stuff. al basically said it how I would have.

if youre a big fan of wrestling, youll love it. if you dont care for wrestling too much, you will probably hate it and think its boring...that simple haha.

I'm trying to get the attack footage online right now. my editing computer isn't here so yates is trying to add some text to it for me. once the text is on the video then u can watch what happened. babi slymm punched me and cut me open. it was pretty bad.

I hate wrestling, so I think ill skip this one...

that attack clip looked fake to me, thats just my opnion. pro wrestling is fake so why couldnt that be?

you could hear the thud...didn't seem like a fake clip at all.

yeah you have a valid point. If he really cut moody open...and it just happened...he could easily prove it by posting a pic of the cut.

But yeah...that was an awesome clip...it looked real enough to me..

This was an act of crime caught on tape. Legally I doubt he can stop me from using this clip in my next documentary. I have a release form signed by him from a year ago when I first interviewed him for 101 Reasons not to be a Pro Wrestler.
