I've got this camera, the Sony DCR-HC21.

I have a lens almost exactly like that, but it's a little different.

My problem is it won't fit my new camera. It never came with adapter rings and when my friend tried putting it on with his, it wouldn't fit.

Anyone know what to do or at least what size my camera lens is? I've looked but can't find it anywhere.

you need a ring adapter
the thing about sony is that they want you to purchase their exclusive products...so they make their dimensions to fit their lenses
take your cam to a cam shop and find out the size ring you need
it took me for fucking ever to find a ring for my sony

If your camera is the same as my 'dcrhc40e', your lens has a 25mm thread, it's a bit of a bitch to get adapters for that size. Sony is progressively making their lenses smaller so you have to buy sony lenses... Cunts.

Well, the only ones I can find that fit it are normal wide angle lenses. Basically what I'm wondering is, does anyone have a site where I can get an adaptor so it'll fit?
