I know this post is harsh, but its being honest for once:

The DVD was the biggest pile of wank, the editing was appaulingly poor and the content was absolute bollocks.

Ok, get this. - If jackass/dirty sanchez made a DVD and sold it to 50 people for £10 each.
Then a few weeks later when theyve all been sold, jackass/dirty sanchez(eg)'s producers posted most of the DVD footage in a short video on the internet.
Meaning some people paid for it and others got to see it free which isnt fair..

I highly recommend you NOT buying the DVD, it is absolutly shit. A big waste of £8.

I have to admit some of the skating was good though.

If anyone on HGF wants to borrow it (in the uk), I will post it to you and you may too witness the shitness of this DVD.
I know craig doesnt care what I think but oh well.

Thats me being fucking honest for once in my life.

PS. - The video he just posted on HGF contains the only slightest bit good footage on the dvd. Honestly, a couple of the things in there are the only "reasonable" things on it.

Giving your opinion is fare enough, but dont say to, "not buy this dvd"
as other may have a different opinion on it.

Yeah, telling ppl not to buy it is shit, I would by it if I had money. It's ok to come and say your opinion but telling no1 to buy it...

I don't mind a bit of negative crit. really, but saying don't buy it is very shitty of you.

You're pissed off because you said the best footage had been posted online, now personally I don't believe that to be true at all, BUT everyone has a different opinion on what is and what isn't the best stuff am I right?

You're the only one of a few dozen people who has said anything remotely bad about it mate, you've seen the videos, you've seen the trailers and you still wanted to buy it, if you thought it was a waste of money then I can't be held responsible can I?
13 July 2005, 13:29 UTC#7
not at all, and im not trying to 'hold you responsible' - im not telling people NOT TO BUY IT but I recommend not to because if people are looking for a homegrown dvd then its deffinitly not for them because the stunts are terrible, the pranks are terrible and thers only 1 or 2.

If people wanted a skating video, then yeah ok man they should buy it, but you advertised it like a HG dvd which is a lie.

I never advertised it as a HG DVD.

I never said it was great, I never said I did stunts, everyone knows that we don't/didn't do stunts or out, just mainly skating and fucking about.

Word.

It takes a long time to film and edit a DVD, I don't think you quite have any idea how much work goes into producing a full lengh video.

well I have nothing against BTD and some of the clips did enjoy me but it is just a group I wouldn't buy a DVD from. The camera quality is very poor and the content isn't something worth a DVD. This doesn't mate I dont like your group but I just wouldn't buy a DVD from u guys.

Well actually I bought it, and it's good, but not great, well it's not good it's poor I have to say. there are a few good skits and stuff, but stunt wise it's shitty,

for me it was just to boring, I used to put it on when I needed to get to sleep early, so I would watch it and fall to sleep.

seriously I just found it boring, I watched it in about 4 different bits, and I dont think I saw everything, just to boring, that is my opinion, and the quality of the actual footage, was a bit grainy, and that also gave it a bad impression.

Arse Marks X was like what £5, £6? and that was a good DVD, good stunts, good funny skits, I enjoyed watching arse marks, those 4 or 5times. but BTD I think was a bit of waste of money no offense.

the dvd cover, and menu where excelent though.
But I just didnt like it. to boring, stunts wernt extreme, there hardly where any, sorry dudes

but other people may like it.

I guess the best way to release a DVD is to first pass some copies around, do something with their reactions to improve the "final" version and then sell it.. or if you don't listen to the reactions.. sell it for a lower price ;)

I originally made a VCD (cheaper) and showed it to a few people (not just friends/people in it, that'd be dumb) and the feedback was pretty postive...

I've had the DVD for a few weeks, and I said it was good, I didnt want to hurt his feelings, but now someone else has first, I thought what the hell.

Also sorry I thought it was more of a stunt DVD, but I was wrong, it's skits and messing around stuff right? Well, it wasnt entertaining, nothing major, I do these things too, on or off camera, but I dont want to see a dvd about it, kind of boring, and £8? maybe a few £ cheaper and it's prolly worth.

Skits, since I thought it was more of a stunt DVD, at the time, when I saw the stunts I was just hoping for a skit, I got some, and I didnt like, full respect for you trying and thinking of ideas and shit, and the cover was great also, but they were boring, not much use of camera angles....made it like boring just seeing one shot, moving very shaky a lot of the time, and the quality didnt help much either.

I'm sorry guys, this aint what I thought it was going to be, I thought it was stunts and skits, no stunts, but skits could of been way better,
but respect for you trying, thinking and making it, it was just a bit boring for me, I do the same stuff as seen on the dvd...really, but it's just boring watching a dvd about it, in my opinion.

thanks, dont take offense to this, im just telling you the truth of what I think thanks.
