Blending

I must admit my entry for the photoshop competition is looking rather kickass, however being slightly new to doing "murals" and what not, I can't figure out how to blend stuff. Please could someone give me instructions on how to blend images together in clear and concise steps. Also please point me in the direction of decent brush resource sites.

I would either get the marquee tool and see the little box near the top that says feather . change that to about 15/20

or use the soft default brushes , they are simple and do a nice job
