It was tough but I narrowed it down to 3 battles.
1. Devil may cry 3: Dantes awakening, Final battle with Vergil. This fight was epic, it was hard, and it had everything a good boss battle needed. Two brothers fighting, one for good and one for evil. It was just so amazing.
2. Metal gear solid 3: Snake Eater, The end. The end was such a great boss to fight. You had so many ways to defeat him but only one truely fun and correct way to do it. You could kill him early on, you could save during battle with the end and turn your time ahead to kill him with old age, and you could do it the best way of all: Fight. The first time through it took me an hour because I hadn't found the sniper rifle or the shot gun. I had to do it with just my handgun and CQC. It was so amazing using the camo index to its fullest for the first time and really trying my hardest to hide from this deadly sniper.
3. Half Life 2, My first Strider attack. Admit it, this guys were fucking hard when you didn't know what to do besides running. Thats why I loved it.
Some others that I enjoyed but not quite the best:
-Star Fox 64: dodgeing the enviroment while trying to defeat the boss was fun as hell
-Zelda OoT- The heart pumping music, your adrenaline is rushing (with no sword of course unless you have the biggoron), and the princess screaming in the background whenever you get hurt, plus the massive and badass looking Ganon himself makes this boss battle not only brilliant but my favourite of all video games. Seriously, hurry the hell up Nintendo on finishing Twilight Princess!
-Banjo-Kazooie- Gruntilda was a hard bitch.

There have been a few, but this is my best:
When I used to work in Pizza Hut, my boss threatened to fire me if I din't start washing my hands after I went to the toilet. Well as you can imagine, a battle royale broke out. He had me in a headlock at first, but I managed to make him choke on a salami.

*Bump*
04 July 2005, 21:07 UTC#7
Nice bump, lol.
I'd say;
The entire game...hell fuck the entire series of none other than CONTRA. Hard as hell and fucking damn near impossible on the ps2. If you can beat that game you are gaming perfectionist which I'm not but I hold my own.

Dude I fucking love all the Contras. They were so hard when I was young and are still one of the few oldschool games that I go back to and have a hard time beating.

I like all the boss battles in metal gear solid games
and bowser from super mario

Tommy Vercetti vs. the mob in GTA: Vice City...I loved it.

Bowser for SM64 was amazing the first time I saw him. I mean it was the first time you could actually see how truly large he was and in 3d. The graphics at the time were the best out there and it being one of the first games for the system proved to me that buying a N64 was a good invesment.
04 July 2005, 21:25 UTC#15
I think I have said this before... but basically as FMS has said FF7. But in particular when I defeated the emerald weapon, it was almost orgazmic! lol.
04 July 2005, 21:32 UTC#16
I think pretty much ALL MGS boss battles were awesome. Also quite a few battles were memorable in HL2 as well, although not really bosses, but some of the Ant Lion Guard ones, and taking out your first Strider was great too

04 July 2005, 21:32 UTC#17
mm not really a bos but when I beat the detroit red wings on the hardest mode of nhl 2004 as the penquins 2-1 in like a million over times in the stanley cup
04 July 2005, 21:34 UTC#18
whats up with you people and final fantasy lol I hate that game more then anything. I can never get into them stupid rpg games. the only final fantasy I got into was Chronicles for SuperNes which was the phatest straight RPG I ever played
04 July 2005, 21:38 UTC#19
I like rpgs. Just not turn based ones.
04 July 2005, 21:40 UTC#20
well thats what I ment by straight rpg cause the Rpg's that are turned based are my true definition of a rpg but then theres zelda which is actually considered an rpg but its also a platforming game and an action adventure so yeah.
04 July 2005, 21:45 UTC#21
If you havn't ever played final fantasy 7, do it. Its for playstation, but in my view, its the best game ever. The graphics are shit, and the fact that its an rpg just matches this game so well. The storyline is so in depth and there is endless amounts of gameplay on it. You could easily play this game for hundreds of hours without meeting all enemies, collecting all items, or even gaining all master materia. I know none of you understand what I am blabbering on about, but fuck it. I love that game. And you know what, I don't particuarly like rpgs. I have played the other Final fantasys, but they all suck huge amounts of balls when compared to that game. When I first got it I was ten, and I still live by that game and play it every now and again even now. Just play it one time, and you will understand what I mean.
04 July 2005, 21:47 UTC#22
for rpgs I liked grandia 2 and fable and phantasy star games
04 July 2005, 21:49 UTC#23
No thanks man. I have heard how great it is by lots of people but really, whats important to me in game is gameplay. I don't really like taking turns to attack the enemy and I don't really enjoy letting the game attack for me. I admit the storys to these games are amazing and awsome but thats not all a game needs to be fun and to me that is exactly what FF is not. Fun.
