you are going about this all wrong man.....you dont want to jump into it that quick.....you wont have a good enough outcome and there isnt really a set guideline or anything.....how will we submit them and whatnot....I mean man....im not trying to tell you how to run your competition but if you want a pretty big outcome give them more time and publicize it more.....just thoughts

I just wanna say you are a very generous person.
Anyway I reckon you shud make a competition where u list about 10 items and everyone does a vid using the items, best vid wins.

Well, thanks for the compliment. Not really being generous, just being Jewish and all I felt guilty about taking in all your videos and not giving anything back.
I am not really good at thinking of ideas, so I am open to suggestions. The only one I can suggest, which is a sentimental favorite for me is pissing in a car at a mall, or some public place. This is the only stunt I ever did that was filmed. Anyways, with the problems with the hunt site I figure this is something that people might compete for until it goes up. So how about within a week people submit the above video, or something simiilar to it (that way you can use your imagination and let yourself decide what is best). Then next Sunday at 5 PM Central Time in the US I will pick one and whoever submitted it can win?
Does that sound fair? Again... I am open to suggestions.

If you wanna make it a quick competition its up to u so u cud say just this week, but u might not have that many people entering because of lack of time, so id say around a month or three weeks, and if I was U I'd decide on like 10 items, like maybe:
-Barbed wire
-petrol
-wood
-Pins
-Light tubes
-Cars
-Bikes
-Rope
-boxes
-etc etc
whateva, then say like veryone make a 2 min video with stunts that they have filmed during this period of time and u can judge the winner

Sounds good to me. I just do not want to compete with wkh so I thought since the site is down it might be a good idea to do it now. Not really sure of the guidelines or how to get word out since I do not want to make this huge, since I figure not too too many people want to make a new contest. But I am open as to the task, timing, etc. Not sure how to get word out though since like I said I do not want to make this part of it too huge.
04 July 2005, 13:35 UTC#34
I am definitely liking the "props" choices and 2 minute video....that would make it a little more original then just one task a vid....that way you could throw some nice editing in and every video would be original yet alike....

Hi. I am open to the timing and everything else, but I think three weeks sounds good and so does the 2-3 minute video.
I am open as to the task, but would prefer something that is different/new, so thats why I suggested what I did.I think if people have less of a list to operate from and a more general "come up with your own idea" it will show who the most original can be, which is probably best to run a contest.
But you guys are better at this then I am, so I appreciate your input and suggestions.

the good thing about the things you have to use is it will show what team is creative with them.....it also makes the grading standard easier cause I personlly love bush jumping but some people think it is over played.....it just kind of helps with the judging and the fun....
04 July 2005, 13:57 UTC#37
Hpw about you just make a weird list like say:
-surfboard
-tree
etc
Then we all just make a 1-2 min vid doing stunts that include these wacky items.
So all you have to do is name like 5-10 weird items.

Ok... I'll set the end date by the 31st of this month, 5 PM CST. The winning team will design/develop/whatever the other new homegrown contest for which I will supply $. The video should be between 2 to 5 minutes. Originallity is important. You should include one of the following in your video, how/what you do with it is up to you. I will pick the top three and then if I can find someone to host them, or whatever I will then have everyone vote and pick the top of those three. I do have a bias towards more risky stunts of potentially getting caught, but I am flexible. Anyways, here's the list of items to pick from. Thanks to the others for their input.
-Pins
-Light tubes
-Cars
-Bikes
-Rope

thats alot better but you really need a panel of judges....atleast 3 or 4 more so it will be a good decision....im serious...im on hte pc close to 19 hours a day....I could be a good admin...I wouldnt participate if I could be in on it....

So what does the winner of this comp win?
It wins the chance to think up another competition, so you dont have to?

Ok. I do not want to have too many judges for this part but I think a team of judges of
Dex
Myself
Rob from Custom Scar
Hero (From Delayed Reaction, if he wants to)
and gman (if he wants to).
Then the three of us can judge. I think the 4 others and myself, from watching their videos have different tastes so it is a representitive group. You like bush jumping, I like more the gross/sick type... so anyways, let me see if the others want to judge, if so, then I can start a post with the names of the judges, list of 5 props, etc.

Dex,
Sort of. I voluntered to come up with prize money for a contest. I got a lot of people who wanted to run a new contest but had a problem coming up with the $ to do so. But I did not know how to best pick who to run the contest, whose ideas to support. So I thought if I had this with fewer people/people that might be interested and have good ideas for a contest, it would be the best way to see who wants to run one and who has the most original ideas from original video, etc.

I used to do movies, before.. but nothing lately. I decided to sponsor a competition, but ended up getting a lot of people interested in putting on one, which I would 'sponsor' for lack of a better word. I did not know how best to pick which one to work with, so I decided to have a contest to pick the most original video and then whoever wins would run the contest and I'd give $ to it.

No. I decided to host two, yours and the winner of the contest/if anyone decides to take part.
I liked your guys idea of the combo idea, but decided to do two, yours and another.
