I take homegrown as where people share their videos that they make and produce. some of it is rip off of some mtv show. some are trying their own thing. the videos can be anything, just seems most groups are doing stunts.

Just wanted to add "un-controversially" thats not always the case, I mean for example if someone walked in your house and said "eh, this is shit" of course thats their opinion, but you'd kick their ass out.
