I hope you don't mind Marc but I thought I would post some progress on Shelley (notice the "e" in her name) seeing as so many people have been asking, and you are getting all the information 4th or 5th hand as it is.
First of all let me introduce myself properly (I wrote one comment on here before very shortly after the accident and was still going through mixed emotions about the event). My name is Ellie and I am Shelley's best friend forever. I met Marc through Shelley and I would like to think we had also begun the start of a friendship. I was the 3rd person at the accident. I am mentioning this for one reason only; for those people who are wondering to themselves "what has this got to do with you, you wern't in the group". No perhaps I wasn't a member of the group, but I played a part in filming a few things with them, who do you think was the camra'wo'man on the day of the accident?
Anyway, Let me let all of you know some of the progress on Shelley's condition. It is 6 weeks to the day since the accident, and she is still in hopsital with no-one but her immediate family allwed to visit her. That shows the severity in itself, I don't need to spell it out.
After a lot of set backs with a skin infection, the shaving of her gorgeous long hair, and debate about whether she may lose certian parts of her face, she is finally conscious and stable. It is obvious she has suffered a lot more due to this horrific stunt gone wrong than Webby's physical pain and my emotional pain put together, but she is strong and I know she will get through it.
I am still deciding how much information to write on a message board such as this, because I know Shelley would probably not want everyone to know all the intricate details, I just wanted to tie together a few lose ends for those who do not know any of the group in person. I just wanted to inform you all that although their have been setbacks a plenty, she is finally on that long awaited path to recovary.
Thankyou all for the support you have shown, even those of you who do not fully understand the stunt involved, or who have only grasped the medias (twisted) version of events.
Marc, as promised, I shall come and see you soon. I'm sure you understand that I would like to see Shelley first. It's just loyalty. But I as ever give you my best and hold no grudge.
