im thinkin about switching from Windows to Linux. Who is running linux right now and whats so good about it? Is it better than windows and are there alot of the same programs that are for winodws for linux?

I use linux on my other pc, if you have never used it before dont just switch. its not as easy as windows but yeah its better. research abit more before you switch or you will not have a clue what you are doing. also program wise, things are usually made for windows, but you can still use some on linux, but some programs are not compatible. look at gazaa for instance, he cannot play .wmv as he does not have the codecs, and I think when he installed it fucks up for him.

basically before switching do more research, get to know it alittle better, at first it will seem weird but once you have configured it to your settings you will have a amazing OS at your finger tips.

also which linux are you thinking about?

dunno about the version or whatever but your so right. I mean, now that I realized you cant play .wmv's that just totally changed my mind. I just think that Linux looks beautiful.

you can use .wmv but you will have to get the codecs for it.
