I had zone alarm pro and it was fine for a while, but it wouldent let me send certain people files over aim so I changed to one adem reccomended. Then I got frustrated because my modem kept on restarting and blamed the firewall, when it was really AIM.

I had norton. Can't remember why, but it conflicted with something, so I deleted the firewall and eventually the virus protection because it kept asking for payments.

zone alarm is gay....get bullguard its antivirus/spam and firewall all in 1 and its really good.

Norton is uber gay, it misses most viruses as an antirus and sucks as a firewall. Nico, bullguard is the worst on the market, second to "blackice" it contains endless spyware and doesn't really protect you

I had zonealarm, but now I have this foriegn wall from japan called "e-gathix 206" its pretty bad ass. And it works. But if you dont know what the hell your doing, you could get fukt over. Or if you leave out one or two options, it wont work. So you gotta have a really good knowledge of computers to use it. And this thing is like 5 years old, but I update the virus/spyware/malware/dataminer/autodialer list every week or so.

Mcafee Pccillin is essentially a very good firewall, and scans incoming e-mails and shit, although its an antivirus program with a firewall integrated. However, it blocks off most usefull application ports, and is too basic to configure correctly, so with the firewall activated you may find you can't do things such as send e-mail without closing the program
