My fire wire wont upload...and its the cable because it wont upload my new or my old camera...weve fiddled the the inside and the little thing but it doesent make a diffrence...is there any way to fix this or shall I just buy a new one...if I do by one how much do they usaly cost?

I don't know how you broke a firewire...try taking it out and putting it in all the way?

That's what I meant. How do you break a cable (except a game controllers cable)?

Anyways they arent too expensive, best buy charges like $30 for em (bullshit), but if you look around online they're cheap as hell.

Well I think its the little like bits inside it are bent...so we bent them back..but still no sucsess Image file not present in the recovered backup

the pins on the end of the cable were bent, and a new one usually costs about £15

Looks like something I'd like to have more of and yeah it is somewhat weird, but it's a lot easier to draw/remember.

Ye just buy one, there really cheap, here's the one I got, and I've had it for a few months and it always works:

The reason being, is that it's not on amazon, other dealers are selling it, through amazon, it's all good, just might take a bit longer delivery, well I think mine took 3days, from one of those guys, they are all reliable,

just the same with ebay, just make sure they have lots of ratings, and that they have a positive rating biggrin.gif

Buy a new onhe, but what ever you do if the cables broken because of a bent pin or what ever inside, don't fiddle around with it inside the camera, because I did this, and it ended up breaking the firewire port inside my camera.
