alright im going out right now to get a firewire port/cable to so I can make my awesome MiniDV cam have great quality. Is there a certain one I need or anything or do I just pick up any firewire card and any firewire cable? Im not sure about firewire since I never ever used it so please tell me. thanks alot.

any firewire card will do depending on if its for a laptop or a pc. just tell the people what you require and they should sort it for you. and you want firewire to miniDV. like I said, tell them what it is you are after.

awesome! I can't wait to get this. I heard it will make the quality alot better than usb.
