Thought this was a decent idea for a topic. What video game is good enough, that you can watch someone play and variably watch it as a movie.
My vote goes to "Chronicles of Riddick"

The game is called "The chronicles of RIDDICK - Escape from Butcher Bay". That is the xbox/PC game. Some copies of the DVD can be put it in an Xbox, to play a demo of the game.
It is an amazing game, I would recommend it to anyone. As for the story, it shows how he escapes from a high securtiy prison, called "Butcher bay", simple enough. The graphics are incredible, and are described as 'photorealistic'. The characters face muscles move and look incredible. The audio is amazing, with Vin Diesel doing the voice for Riddick. There are other celebrity voices including, Xzibit. The story is amazing, with cutscenes looking as good as the gameplay.
The entire game is a masterpiece, being a cross between Splintercell, and Halo. Without weapons you either confront enemies and fist fight, (with the possible addition of shivs, or knuckle dusters), stealth: Stealth mode makes you to be smaller and quieter, and you may grab people from behind to 'snap necks'. Also, in stealth mode, the screen turns blue to show you aren't noticable to surrounding convicts/guards.
After about a qarter or a third of the way though the game, you recieve 'eyeshining'. Which is a visual mode, that enables you to see in the dark, similar to 'night vision' in Splintercell. Everything looks slightly distorted, and 'pinky' You can creep up behind people in the dark (combined with stealth mode), to snap necks.
The weapon range is incredible, being guns, shivs or clubs. Guns are; shotguns, assault riffles, pistols, and the later incredible minigun (which is only available from a destroyed riot guard). Shivs are; knives, screwdvivers, sculpals. As one character in the game quotes "Wanna live, getta shiv." Clubs are pretty self-explanitory.
The best thing about the game is the small touches.
The shooting is amazing, being a laser pen dot on the wall. If you aim at a close target the dot is bigger. You recieve health from med machines, and have to collect med cards to use them. If someone attacks you with a gun, you can counter with good timing, and fire it underneath their chin. Countering a shiv attack involves stabbing a screwdriver through someones ear. Your ammo quantity is not in the corner of the screen, but on your gun itself, and cannot be seen without looking downwards.
This game is defintetly one of the best games on Xbox, and should be recommended to anyone. Just watching someone else play the game, is as entertaining as playing it.
