Usually when I edit stuff, it's just clips either in fast mo or slow mo, and has music over it. Take our latest video. What could I do to the editing to improve that? I need tips. What are some effects?

freak.inc's editing is just cut the clip to the action and add some song on it that we like

once in awhile ill fade b/w to regular but only when I feel artsy

Just try out different, things, maybe using effects, but subtly, and not too often, don't over do it.

Dont use effects too much. Don't slow-mo everything. Cut out parts that aren't needed instead of speeding it up or whatever.
If you ever suspect something goes on for too long, it probably is, so cut it down.

Listen to the music, if there is a definate beat too the song try and switch clips at the beat or time it so a significant part of the clip happens on the beat.

Yeah defo. Try and choose a song first and edit to the song. Instead of simply slapping a music track over clips.

Thats a good point, pick the song first.

Know wht footage u are going to include, and wht type of mood u want to set with the clip, then pick the clip and make your footage fit the clip.

I usually, not always, just get all the footage I want, just the bits I want, and just put it all into the timeline, then choose a song, then I edit to the beat of the music, either by shortening clips, lowering sound, adding effects which suit it, that way you have what you wan't in your movie,

I don't no if it makes sense but I usually do that, unless it's a skit.
