HG's Future...

Well after whats happend with webby I can see alot of negativity coming towards the homegrown community in general, along with whats happedn with people like lndl.

We have to do soemthing and I think we all need to figure out what that is we need to do to protect ourselves.

The disclaimer most groups are using seems to be not real.....

I have no ideas really, other than figuring out a disclaimer tht will actually protect our sites and ourselves form the law.

I did a thread like this, but most people disregarded it and sort of didnt take it seriously, and the thread was closed. now that this is happened, can you see why I did it before anything did happen.

Nothing may even happen to hgf, but if it does, then all the other groups here will also get affected.

I think if people dont like what we do then dont go on the sites!!!!!!!!!!!

Really theres fuck all we can do. the only way I have found is for everything to be forum based. this way knowone can 100% be held for anything....

And also get consent forms signed by everyone and if under 18 by parents.

hey skipper, webby got seriously hurt, negative attention should be the last thing on your mind. we should be worrying about webby not some stupid disclaimer.

sorry man, the only thing I can think of though is by just putting up a disclaimer. we need a concrete diclaimer though, as most of the ones the hgf groups use are simply copies from other groups. I think 99% of groups have a disclaimer that is more american directed, not english, french or any of the other nationalities that are held within hgf.

Maybe one idea is to have a password gate that restricts viewers from certain areas of your site, although that would seriiously damage your traffic and visitors to the site. If someone could explain what we could possibly get done for it would be a great help to EVERYONE and ALL the groups here.

About the concent forms....I need one were can I get one??? also when would they come in usefull...so like who would you show em to?

Yeah, I am concerned with if he gets better and I wish him all the best, but other than that theres nothing we can do...but on the other hand we can try and keep the homegrown community going strong, and u know that webby loves the HG community and would hate to see anything bad happen to it.

So yeah, I do care about if he gets better as I respect what he produces and what he does for HG, and hope him and the other person get well as soon as possible.

The password is a good idea... but could bring more media to the sites as its eye candy for them... amkes groups look even worse in my eyes.

But this is something that needs to be talked about and its not taking anything away from webby.... apart from helping him.

look im from randumb, and I agree something has to be done, the law could close this site and any of our sites at any time, and also the dodgey disclaimers really wont help, but I definetly agree something has to be done. its not JUST about people going onto the sites and thinking to themselves that they dnt like it so there gonna go and tell the law, its people finding the dodgey disclaimers. then telling the law.,

The disclaimers do work. But only some of it works in the UK law. The problem with UK law is if it is in the public interest they can print what they like

I have a model waiver I can post. maybe gazaa could start a legal section. post like waivers/forms, stuff on laws like harrasment, assualt, where its legal to film. get it so we dont need disclaimers.

the thing is with the disclaimer, and we have mentioned earlier is that it isnt made for UK laws, I mean, its all good from you american groups, but this is going to affect UK groups far more than american groups, and with webbys best wishes in mind, we do need to sort one out for us british fuckers.

its a tough one, if the media does start snooping around for more hg groups I suggest all the uk groups do some low profile shit, take some videos you could get in shit for down or maybe take your sites down.
All we can do at the moment is wait and see. The media still think star wars influenced this so were all in the clear at the moment.

I think there will be one soon of the hg scene but it will be portrayed negativaly, and mo and mo complaints will be thrown our way.

as 2 uk groups have now been featured in newspapers, I think it will grow to be a national concern.
