Camera wont eject tapes. The tape pops up, stays there, then goes back down.
Any ideas of how I could fix this?

that just recently happened to my friend it was bacause of it being to moist or somethig nso he had to ssend it in and get fixed took like a month to get it back

do you know anythiung about warrantees? I have my cam 2 year warentee and the lcd screen doesnt work and I wanted to return it and they wouldnt let me? what the hell is the warantee for?

All depends on which warranty you got. My lcd was fucked, I only had to pay for labor. Bullshit. I never did anything wrong to it and I just got the shitty one. Bad luck if there is such a thing.

well I got the best warnetee because my cam was on display and I bought it in another state and I drove over there and they wouldnt give me my money back they said they can ship it in but I said not unless they give me a cam to barrow till I get mine back...people suck

if it was my cam, Id rip that shit out....well not like that...I had this one tape that would do that because the actual tape was messed up and somethin was catchin, so it couldnt pop out, I just gave it a little tug and it ejected...<3

man that sucks, the same happened to my cam last month, but there was also a nest of bug eggs in the eye piece, if you keep it in your pocket alot the static electricity will build up and fry the circut boards, I would dissassemble it and clean it odd are you have some film tape caught inside, I hope some of this helps

I have the best warrenty, I just give it to my mom cuz she works at sony and she brings it back that day

nice, I would have gotten mine fixed but getting mine fixed would have cost more than the cam, I ripped off the serial number and shit cause I hate stickers I don't apply for some reason

it was a pro but it was free bacuse I had a resite
why dont you take it to a shop and if you have a garentie or a recite they should be able to fix it or trade for a new one

I had has this problem I went to a quary and got sand in my camera and then I couldent get the tape out...so what I did is I got the hoover blasted all the sand out then a tired it witha hair dryer...but it still dident work so then I got a screwdriver unscrewd it then took it out screwd it back together but the tape in and it worked External image not preserved — inspect source: http://homegrownforums.com/html/emoticons/Copy of happy.gif

Nicco, this is the 2nd time it's broken and last time I had parts coverage, but not labor. $80!
Ben, I was thinking I'll take it apart, do what I can with it, then eventually get a new camera. We were just starting to really get into filming again and were talking about making a DVD. Not for sale though, just anyone who is cool can have a copy for free.
