Well, I'm getting fucking pissed. I'll explain the story later, but right now I don't feel like it.
All I'm asking is that you reccomend a camera for around $500 or less that wont break easily (mine's kinda fucked up).

ive droped my sony handycam on concrete more than 20 or 30 times its also been punched, kicked and had a can of coke spilled on it. Its also fallen out of the back of the car ive had it for about 5years and it still works fine besides the occasional time it shits it self but take the battery out put it back in and its ready to go.
12 June 2005, 13:23 UTC#7
Thanks weak, I'll look into those. Not sure if I'll have enough money anymore cause the bitches where I applied gave the job to someone else

Road2insanity Producer, I highly doubt a playground slide was 20ft tall. Maybe 10 at the most.

try costco.com
you dont have to be a member to order offline and take advantage of their return policy.
it doesnt matter if the camera is broken and in pieces...they'll refund your money completely no matter what. You can return even if its not broken...and you just dont want it anymore. I've returned over 7 cameras to them. Cameras break really quickly, especially if you use them a whole bunch. The best thing to do would be to buy one from costco so that youll never lose any of your money. Here is their selection -

wow im gonna use that, do they ship to uk?
hey weak got your old sig back, nice, man we'v only got one girl on cam, all the rest are scared, whats your secret (drugs isnt it..)
12 June 2005, 15:28 UTC#15
You can return it through the mail right?
I'll probably go for best buy because theres one really close and if I get the 4 year warranty I can keep getting it fixed if it breaks.

no if you arent in the US I dont reccomend buying it. You can order it offline, then go to 1 of their 400 nationwide stores and return it there. Im pretty sure costco is only in the US.
And stay away from Best Buy. I bought one of their 4 year warrantys and they were real bitches about fixing it. They denied me after the first time sent it...saying that it was my fault and shit. Fuck them.
Costco is the best. You buy a camera for $400...throw it off a building..and then get your $400 back and buy a new one. All you need is the reciept...but I reccomend keeping the box and all the parts.
Seriously dont make the mistake of buying from Best Buy.

and Broken Silence, usually it goes like this. There will be a girl who has the hotts for one of my friends. He'll be like...okay lets hang out. He brings her over...we take her to an isolated area...all get a little drunk...then slowly ease the idea of filming her get boned. Because she comes over wanting to hook up in the 1st place...it makes alot easier...cause from there on you just have to talk her into letting it be filmed.

Thanks for the advice man. I'd buy from them if a friend worked there cause it'd be easier, but I don't know anyone who works there.
I don't know of any costco's in CT and according to their site, there arent any within 50 miles.
I do remember when I first got my digital cam though, I got it at a local place called bernies. I dropped it within a week and it was completely busted. I brought it back and they gave me a new one without even asking. I think I'll check there.
12 June 2005, 16:35 UTC#20
costco is worth the hour drive. I insist you buy it from there. Whats your budget...
12 June 2005, 16:37 UTC#21
btw they have 5 in CT
Brookfield
Enfield
Milford
Norwalk
Waterbury
12 June 2005, 16:54 UTC#22
Right now ive got about $170 of my own money. My friend is gonna give me $100 and another friend said he'd chip in $50. I'll probably find a way to get more, but that's what I've got now and no job yet.
The costco site said they didn't have any in CT, but since they do I'll look into it. I know some of those places and they can't be too far since CT is a pretty small state.
12 June 2005, 17:09 UTC#23
yeah just let me know when you become more serious about it and ill tell you how to go about it..
here is a list of all there stores in the US
http://www.costco.com/Warehouse/Location.a...United%20States12 June 2005, 17:13 UTC#24
Alright man, I'll ask you when I'm ready to go there. All those places are at least an hour and a 1/2 away, but I'm sure I could get a ride sometime.
Thanks a lot for your help
12 June 2005, 17:52 UTC#25
well see, you have to order it online from their site. You have to be a member to actually go into the store...and membership cost like a $100 a year.
But if you order it from their website...you can return it at any of their stores reguardless of whether your a member or not.
Also...I believe there is a 5% charge of your total cost to order it from their site if your a non-member..but I believe you will get this money back when you decide to return it.
I know it sounds like a bit of a bitch...but all in all its worth it. 3 years will go by and 1 day your camera will just take a shit on you....and you'll drive out there and return your cam...and leave with a wad of cash...and youll be glad you bought it from there Buying from costco is like putting money in the bank. There has been alot of times when I returned my camera just cause I wanted the money to buy something else from there. Costco products never lose their value.
and by the time you decide to return your cam...youll probally have your license and a car..and it will be no big deal.
But yeah...its your choice. Best buy, ebay, costco..whatever you wanna do. Just telling you what has worked for me in the past...and has saved me shitloads of money.
Wait till things pick up with my videos...when that happens I'll sponsor your group or some shit Image file not present in the recovered backup
12 June 2005, 18:02 UTC#26
I'll definitly go for costco if my dad will lend me his credit card.
That's awesome that you don't even need to pay extra for a warranty
12 June 2005, 19:00 UTC#27
ill have a look around for you
