how do you find out a thread size of a cam? I have a Sony DCR-TRV80 and would like a fish eye for it..
edi: okay its 37mm.. now where di I find a cheap fisheye lense??

Kenko SGW-043^That's the fisheye I have, it's cheap and fits your camera thread perfectly. Definite value for money, I'd recommend it.

Vodes choice: semi fisheye "raynox qc303"
(fuckers just google it, pic search gives you comparison pictures)

Hipsdude, more info about your lens? Maybe post some comparison pics or something? It doesnt fall off? Is it big, details man, details, I want new lens allready.
19 July 2005, 01:26 UTC#38
Ok, it's fairly compact, I guess, except my camera is fucking tiny, so it looks kinda stupid on it. The lens is distorted enough for you to be able to film without looking at the viewfinder / lcd with a bit of practise. It's fecking cheap, but it cost half as much as the lens to ship it to New Zealand, where I live.
That's about it, I lent it to some mates for a month long trip to Bolgaria, and it ain't back yet, so I really can't say anything else.
Edit: It doesn't ever fall off, unless you don't screw it in, vode. It isn't super light, but you can get used to it.

Any vignetion?
19 July 2005, 01:41 UTC#40
Normally it will have none, but when you put it on the computer, there are tiny bits in the corner. You can take off part of the lens for more distortion, but you will get a fair bit of vignetting. Just zoom it in, there will be some on the computer but back on dvd there will be none once you sort your zooming.
19 July 2005, 01:55 UTC#41
Aaahh... I hoped it would had some, my raynox qc303 doesnt have either, I would liked different effect. But thanks for the info though.
25 July 2005, 14:45 UTC#42
I would like to know some cheap fisheye lenses. I would prefer max distortion and vignetion. Bit different to my current raynox qc303.
25 July 2005, 17:27 UTC#43
Mine was like $30 at bestbuy and it's called a "cokin wide angle lens".
Same one All Balls use.
