The hell? How crappy can that cam be? Is it with all the models or just with that one?

And didnt the cam that mono had have also lots problems with the tape heads? All the models I mean?

I've only had one issue with my VX2100 over the summer. Every time I put a tape in it the eject tape symbol came on the screen and it would not record. I cleaned the heads but it still did the same thing.

I cleaned the heads one more time a few weeks back and that fixed it for some reason.

Would you recommend that lens Ryan? I'm wanting something better than my Raynox to film skating with and I don't care for the modded look.

my buddys got one and when im out filmin with him im usually useing that
it really is worth the 800,000 dollars that it goes for

but if your on a budget like me
get the 52mm scew on opekta lens that looks likes the mk2
alittle heavier, but it will do
just take off the lens hood, witch is the hardest part

Yeah Drew, that lens is legit. Hope you're planning on filming lots and lots of skating if you buy it, as it's quite an investment. Get close too!

Guess I should have been more clear. I was asking if you would recommend the Opteka. I saw some video with it and I liked the look. It's a ton wider than the Raynox without any vig.

An actual death lens is totally out of the question.

ray mods are wider than the opteka I think, atleast mine was, but id still prefer the opetka over it, not only dose it look better on your camera, but its less of a hotglue mess till I find a way to mod the opteka

On second look, there isn't a huge difference between the field of view of the Opteka and the modded Raynox, except for the vig in the Raynox.

GOt like $450 and, thinking about buying, two rode video mics, one will be outfitted for my dvx with an adapter, any comment if its a good idea or just get like a one sennheiser with an adapter for my hc3 and use that?
