I have some extra moneys, not too much, but some. I might blow it on something Id want. Or just save it. Dunno yet.

I just saw used Canon XL1 for 500€. Thats a cam that would have street cred amongst other amateur filmers. But then, I dont really need new cam as I have my old handycam that I carry everywhere and my hv20 with lenses and videomic for planned filming. And thats pretty good setup for my pretty basic needs. Soo... actually the only benefit would be the street cred. And I dont even film that often.

But if Id decide not to get the XL1 would I like some other filming equipment, and if so, what?


New longboard would be cool, I allready have two, but could add some variaton to my collection, but then there is around one andd half months of longboarding weather before winter. And even before that there could be rains so I coul wait ´till spring and get it then.

Nintendo Wii is pretty awesome console I´ve became to understund. Tried it like twice. But isnt it great? And there is nice deals for used systems and games. And in Finland the weather on winter is crap so indoors fun is fun, ya know. But I have lots of old consoles with good games I have never completed...

Should I just save the moneys?

I don't know how much you need the filming equipment if it's just street cred I'd save the cash mate and wait till there's something you need or know you want 100% they all sound like indulgences which you'll probably regret later on when you need cash for something else.

But chances are that then I just blow it on booze...
