Severalls Abandoned Asylum

Thought some of you might be interested in this place, I visit earlier this month with some mates, would be awesome to film a scary movie in or something anywho it closed in 1997 and is now abandoned.

SICK Fuzz. Especially the postcard if you added a decade or two to its age, but 1989 is pretty bad ass too. I love looking at photos from places like this.

Thos aren't photos though are they? Quality looks like they're screencaps

edit: okay I believe they are photos after a closer look, but flickr seems to do a pretty good job at butchering photo quality..

Cool place to find,
the walls of most assylums are light green for a reason.
Why? prob because its the opposite of dark red.

light green is a calming color for the insain
red would cause them to go crazy

some nice shots there man, would be a great place to film in, would love to shoot there for my zombie film. kinda reminds me of the film Session 9. watch that if you like creepy Asylums

Ahh man that's weird if true cos there was this one vibrant red room and for some reason nobody wanted to go in there, don't know why... creepy. haha

hahah thats sick, I used to have one of those by my house that was 3 story and was a hell of a lot of fun to mess around in. it got torn down just recently though.

I also was in abandoned asylum once. It was way cooler than that.

Hesperia towers, I arranged that scout event there. Ive told this million times to you. I was going to film some pointless short there, but we had to return the keys. Damn it sucked. The place was so awesome. Many of the rooms still had crap from the people who used to live there, everything from broken toys to creepy painted faces on walls. Every stairway and balcony had bars so people couldnt jump. Half of the lights didnt work which added to scary atmosphere.

Its shame that I didnt realise how cool place it would be and didnt prepare anything to film there and after all we had only two day access and I was busy with arranging the event.

Oh yeah that's right. I always picture an facility far out in the woods when I think of a mental asylum

so off to the olde cabin this week then??
