If you have 2 planets 100 billion light years apart and manage to place a massive pole 99.999999999999 billion lights years long between them, so it is within both planets atmosphere (ignore how heavy it would be)
If you push it at one end, would it instantly move at the other end? It could be used to send information faster than the speed of light.

nice idea, but in an infinite universe, there are infinite ammounts of debris, from specks traveling massive speeds, to asteroids traveling slowly, let alone all of the shit that would arise just within a 100-billion light year path, eventually, all sorts of shit would tear it the fuck up. BUT, it is a nice ideer to mull over in your noodle.

Hey Matt, you're stupid, think of how much a pole like that would cost, it wouldn't be possible unless fucking Bill Gates or some other rich dude financed it
edit: I don't think it would work though. I think it would take a while because the pole's atoms would probably give in a little, thus making your initial push a motion that would start at one end and take ages to get to the other end. That's my theory, but what do I know

So ignoring rational thought and science, you're asking would it move instantly? Because with all these factors removed you can make the answer up yourself, as without the physical factors, there's really no plausible question.

Nah it wouldn't found out recently they work because of the pressure difference above and below the wings caused during the acceleration phase of the take off.
So if it's moving on the same spot there would be no change in pressure and it wouldn't move from an area of high pressure to low.
As for the pole, it wouldn't work, if you keep getting rid of the things that would stop it from working eventually it would but that's basically asking a question and then forcing the answer you want to hear.

Again I don't know much, but I don't think there is a substance that dense that it wouldn't be affected at least on a very minimalistic scale, and when you multiply that with the humongous distance I don't see it happening. Something should have to give the atoms a faster than light velocity

This is retarded, because no planet has enough natural resources to make a pole even 1 trillionth that size. I don't think the person who wrote this has any idea how fucking giant 100 light years is.
Ignoring everything, yes, the pole would move instantly, but you can't just eliminate every factor. You could solve tons of problems if you eliminated every factor.

I think this is more just a hypothetical thing. IF there was a giant pole that stretched over a distance of a few lightyears, would the other end be instantly affected by a movement at the other end. And I say no.

This pole could be built if they used Aerogel to build it. 99% air and 1 percent of silicon dioxide.

If you're equiped with a pole that is extreamly hard and rigid it would work. yes. If it was a soft flacid pole pushed against uranis then no ...uranus
