How many votes does it usually take to get a video on the homepage?

yeah I'm wondering this aswell? but you can't even see how many people have voted for it to go on the homepage..

I voted for it gave it a thumbs up favorited it and commented it. Ok I've only made homepage 5 times but for a video to make HP it has to have a ton of votes to homepage,views, comments, thumbs up, diggs, ect...it all factors in so really you need a lot of everything. Or you could make homepage on views alone which is called a hot shot which is getting 100k views within 7 days which really seems illogical based on the content so your best bet is to just get a whole lot of everything. Also if it doesn't make it within a few days but videos that were uploaded after it are making homepage it doesn't mean it's not gonna make it I actually had a video up for 2 weeks before it made homepage and then again I have a video that got over 20k views in 3 days but didn't make hp. so yeah Good luck!!!

Oh yeah, and how do you find out if your video has made the homepage or not? Do you need to relentlessly check all day just in case? Because I had one go up and they refused to pay because I didn't have any proof of it? :S

Yeah you need to check everyday...because even when it goes up break sometimes doesn't send you the email that says your gonna get paid...and you have to email them and tell them bl blah blah I have a video on homepage and never recieved an email about payment then they give you shit to fill out and if you don't get it to them within 14 days the payment becomes void!!!

One of our videos made the homepage without me knowing it, but when I found out it was already too late to get paid. Fuck.

Love this clip though. Him singing on the way down makes it a lot funnier for some reason.

k I didnt bother to fully read this but, its not about getting alot of exposure right away. I mean try and get as much, but even if u get alot its all on if the break staff want to post it or not. look at imre's milk crate stunt, it was up for like 3 months before it got homepaged so its kinda a hit or miss thing with break.

right, on Saturday a week ago, I worked for one person filming a wedding, she also owed me some money and decided to pay me all upfront, then I worked at a night club filming that night and the guy decided to pay me upfront..
so I had about £500 in my wallet and then all this shit happend with my phone dieing and couldnt get a lift home a 3am so I thought I'd get a taxi but first a mcdonalds, after the mcdonalds I didnt have my wallet on me, then I found my wallet in the road with everything but the cash.

gutted.

such such bad luck.

Well for your first homepage vid you get $400 the second is $500 and the third is $600 and then $600 hundered from there on out unless you want to keep the rights to your video in which you would get $200 for the first $300 for the second and $400 form then oon out.
