Hey guys I'm going to be filming some public pranks soon & I just don't know how to film them while keeping the camera hidden so the public doesn't know it's being filmed. Does anybody here have some pointers on how to film stuff like this? All help is appreciated.

from far away at a good vantage point, or maybe hidden in a box with a cut out?? I dunno be creative

They had 4 cameras and filmed from where the public couldn't see them. IT AINT ARD!!!

Try investing in a wireless camera system, you can get them on ebay for pretty cheap and hide it on a bag or clothing somewhere, also wireless mics are a good idea.

No offense man, but nothing you do will ever be subtle. You're not exactly built for being hidden. Best bet is to get close enough with a concealed camera.

put it in a empty kfc bucket. pretend to talk on the phone so your not just standing around. scatter porn mag pics everywhere.

Jackass have a budget and therefore vans with windows you can film out of but not see inside. And of-course wireless mics, hidden camera gadgets, and sometimes they just use the run in the mill hidden camera in an item.
So Basically try to copy this method in the cheapest way possible.
It's pretty obvious when you just think about it.

have some people filming a fake interview near by so the camera man can focus on the guy and not be noticed by the public I dunno.

thanks a lot...well today when I was filming I taped the camera down in a fedral express box and cut a hole for the lens and acted like I was about to take it to the post office and it worked out fine actually and somehow I achived decent audio out of pure luck.

the biggest problem we always had was the audio not video. honestly no body really cares if your standing around filming shit as long as your not in there face about it....but the audio can be hard to capture. so we bought a seperate audio recorder and carried a few in our pockets then just matched the audio up appropiately while editing.

We just bundle the camera up in a hoodie and get a nice fisheye lens and just hold it to your side. Nobody notices when we do it...
