Your High School Soundtrack

Right, so out of boredom and since everyone is pretty much out of high school and have jobs and study at universities and what not for years now, what better moment to look back at what you listened to ca 5-10 years ago or whenever you kids were in high school since everyones tastes in music has pretty much changed and we can sit down and remember how gay music we listened to in our teens. My own taste in music started with listening to classic rock n roll, moved on to pop-punk and then over to punk rock and metal that I mainly still listen to. I can still enjoy most of the stuff I listened to back then but it's nothing I really do anymore.

Yeah so make your own compilation of ca 10 songs of what you listened to when you were 16ish. Slavin and Jon can make a list of what they are listening to right now.

1. The Ataris - San Dimas High School Football Rules (was one of the first pop punk songs/bands that caught me)
2. Allister - Somewhere on Fullerton (another one of the first pop punk tunes I heard)
3. Blink 182 - Adam's Song (first Blink song I liked)
4. Sum 41 - Hell Song (still like the album)
5. The Ataris - In This Diary (classic)
6. Good Charlotte - The Anthem (yeah I was a fanboi when I first found them but then I started resenting their image too much)
7. Mest - Drawing Board (still play this on the guitar)
8. Fenix TX - All My Fault (they had some more rockish tunes too)
9. Finch - Letters to You
10. Blink 182 - First Date (because this list didn't have enough Blink)

Nirvana - I fucking loved this band from age 10 to about 17. Bought all their albums.
Metallica - Puppets, Justice and Lightning were great albums for me.
Greenday - Dookie - Playing the song Basketcase on the guitar hooked my my first girlfriend.
Slipknot - Self titled - I remember playing Counter-Strike (Beta 5.2, for those playing at home) to this album on repeat.
Soundgarden - Superunknown - Still listen to this band even today.
Jebediah - Australian band that no-one probably knows.
Alice in Chains - See 'Soundgarden'
Blind Melon - Great acousticy, folksy rock. Most people only know the song titled No Rain.
Korn - Follow The Leader came out when I was in grade 10 or so, reminds me of my first taste of alcohol and illicit substances.
Jane's Addiction - Dave Navarro once was a great guitarist. Now = douche.
SIlverchair - First two albums were gold, now they should eat strychnine and climb a wall of dicks.
