Anybody heard of this? Entertainment Software Association from U.S is tracking torrent leechers and seeders and sends their ISP a letter that asks to cut the connection. Apparently sometimes it has worked. I dont really have lots of information about this, I´ve just done some googling and only source of information I´ve found is forums and comments on torrent sites.

Yup, my mate had to switch providers.
He posts here under the name Mike C.
Basically Sky sent him a letter saying they have been tracking his downloads or something and warned him against using torrents or something.
So he swithced to Virgin Media.

I've been using sky internet for about 2 years now but I've also been using peerguardian (which is awesome btw and I fully recommend) which cuts the chance greatly of connecting to any server owned by someone who might wanna piss you off.
no problems so far, although my dad got a letter from columbia pictures bout a year back via BT telling him to stop downloading shit. he switched to sky

Yeah, we got some new law here that allows the government to track everything. No privacy or anything.
Downloading has decreased by 30% and a bunch of guys have already been caught. Doesn't look too promising.

Police got a warrant to search TBP's head quarters and took everything.
Decision isn't made yet though, not until April 17th.
I just know what I've heard.

Never been a big torrent user myself. Could never get them to work back home and here at college they started blocking them this semester.
